Now before I start i ain't complaining...

Why is it that when you shoot the round of your life its followed closely by a bad one.... As most know I got a good chop to 10 last week from 13......

I played 3 times since off the new handicap and they were nett level par, 1 over, and nett level....

Today I shot an 88 gross.... My small lad was awake at 4 a.m getting sick so I didn't sleep much after that but off the first tee I knew I was going to be fighting it..... Anyway I turned 9 over and despite trying to stay buffer side it was to no avail..... I still took heaps of positives away and enjoyed the walkabout as my dad shot 42 points in the seniors comp... So hopefully a win for him.....

It's called Golf!

To have those 3 other good rounds before the blow-out (totally reasonable by the look of it) is better than normal!

Really enjoying it now too pal... I have a newfound confidence in myself.... Now I don't worry about missing greens or the odd wayward shot because I know I can't still make a score if I need to.....

At the moment, if I have a card in my hand I'm fine, my last 2 comp scores were sub 80 - however in bounce games I'm struggling to break 90!!

I can be like that as well pal... I concentrate more with a card in my pocket than I do in knockabout games.....

Your contradicting yourself.
How can you have a new found confidence, then say you knew it was going to happen.
Your sig say the most important 6 inches in the game is between your ears.
If you have this new found confidence, please show me some in your posts.
Anyway I thought you wasn't going to moan no more.:)

Not complaining PJ.... If you read the post fully you'd understand that.... What I said was I knew I was going to be fighting it a little.... Big difference..... And there's a huge difference between confidence and being realistic as well.....

You obviously didn't see the first line of my post.........

I didn't say you were complaining, and im not having a go.
But if you have a new found confidence, surely you shouldn't have negative thoughts on the first tee.
It seems your understanding of confidence is different to mine..
You are certainly not the first person lately that has had a poor round and blamed something,or someone else.
I too was up last night a lot,as my daughter was poorly.
However I had a good round as I was confident a good round was in me.

Look don't matter now anyway pal.. I hope the wee lady is better.... Ah I just got a heavy 4 iron down the first followed by a heavy 6 iron that I left short of the green got up and down for par... Put my 2nd tee shot in the lake and found a bunker with the re load and got out in one but 2 putted...
3rd was also a heavy 4 iron that travelled 100 yards and I took a bogie off that... I went par double, bogie,bogie,par,bogie..... 9 down after 9.... Still wasn't throwing in tge towel though.... Still its only 0.1..... There's always next time :)
