Just looking for feedback as to what this club is like.

With membership of my home track we are now affiliated with High Leigh Park and entitled to 6 rounds per year.

Seems to have a lot going for it judging by the website, but always like to have some independent feedback to help decide

Thanks

Me and our kid were members there 5/6 years ago. It has undergone a massive course redesign and has been bought by an independent guy and American Golf have just opened a range/teaching area and s big shop.
As for the course, I was speaking to a member who really likes the new lay out, although he says the rough is penal at the moment.... Its definitely worth a round or 2 there...

I popped my golf monthly forum meet up there. Played in winter a few years ago with birchy and Louise. enjoyed it.

Louise couldn't get over me playing in short sleeves with frost on the ground.

It's ok, and the owner who is big mates with ISM's Chubby Chandler (The ISM offices are not too far away) has invested £££££. As above, AG have just opened a 'centre of excellence' there and the new range is supposed to be awesome. Course is ok.....I wouldn't say its a £1000 per year members course as for that money there are better in the area, but for £700 I think it's decent. Good friendly membership too !

I've played at an annual corperate event for the last 3 or 4 years and have seen it develop over those years.

We played a warm up on the new 9 hole track last year when it was still very new with no sand in bunkers etc. Seemed to be a good addition with the dog-leg par 4 the pick of the holes (although have a concern the green built surounded by trees may be difficult to keep in condition). Main course also good, some holes feel as new as they are, others feel more mature.

Overall it is a good location and really well suited to society golf as layout is quite open and seemed to avoid letting rough get over long to ensure play proceeds at reasonable pace although I note the comment above that it is more tricky this year with a little concern for overall pace for the less than regular golfers!

Clubhouse is good and always very welcoming. Really looking forward to see what AG have brought to the party and also range / practice facilities which were a little limited before.

Up there again early sept so we will see......
