Hi everybody. Just joined the forum. I've just joined a golf course after practising on a pitch and putt course for a year or so. Tomorrow is my first round on a pro golf course so I'm raring to go. ☺

Hi everybody. Thanks for the warm welcome. My name is Mark, 39 from Plymouth in Devon. I play at Boringdon Golf Course. Today I played my first 9 holes. I scored a 70. (Long way to go) 😊 I have a physical disability (spinabifida) so I was pretty pushed physically with the long walk but made it to the clubhouse OK. I hit a nice green in one on a 154 par 3 and about 6 feet from hole and made birdie. Thanks again.

Hi and welcome. The score matters not a jot as long as you enjoyed it. Golf is hard...very hard. Kudos to you for getting out there.:thup:

Thanks Craigg. I've just got the starter Donnay golf set from sports direct until I get better over time. I use top flite golf balls and castle tees. I found the pink ones good for teeing off. I don't like the driver too much I prefer the 3. But I will keep at it. I will get out tomorrow and play another 9 hopefully.
