Okay,

First Post tonight.

Been around the edges of this forum for a while and decided to take the plunge. I have had a good look around another couple of Forums which were full of pretentious prats full of there own self importance. If some of these guys are so good why are they not out on tour or at the very least a tour coach ? Hopefully with what I've seen of this Forum it's not going to be like that on here. I mean at least you seem to give everyone a chance so have their view aired.

Play my golf as a nomad at the moment, enjoy a good round with my mates. Play off our unofficial handicap of 16, but might get it down next year.

well thats it, plunged in, water wasn't too cold !

See you around

YoungTom

Hi and welcome to the madness. Whereabouts are you and where do you play. Give some info on your kit etc. Ask anything (but don't flog and dubious websites). You are in the best forum on the whole interweb thingy

Welcome in, what can I get ya :D If only aye!

Definitly chose the right forum pal. Enjoy it.

Welcome young Tom- I recently joined up here, its a friendly place with some funny characters.
I noticed some other forums were a bit "nose in the air" and liked this place best of all.

Ah, there's at least one golf scholar amongst you.

He won 4 consecutive Open Championships and his name is the first on the Claret Jug still played for today. He got the original Belt to keep after winning it three times in a row.

Unfotunately he died young after his wife of less tan a year died during childbirth. Young Tom died on Christmas day 1875, probably form a broken heart.
Tragic but true.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Eyup young 'un.

Welcome to the forum. As you've probably seen, some of the guys are a bit protective towards their forum and detest interlopers who spam on their first post.

Nice to see you're a genuine golfer with a playing interest.
Enjoy!
