Just started up golf in the past few months and have very much been bitten by the bug!

At the moment I am using a loan set of irons from one of my friends, they are not really marked so I am unsure of the make. Driver is another loan, Big Bertha FT3.

This does me fine at the moment, I have only played 3 rounds so far, trying to get as many mondays off work as possible!!

In the next couple of months I am looking to buy my own set of clubs, after researching for a wee while I quite fancy trying out the Mizuno MX-200 irons however im going to refrain from pigeon holeing myself and get a proper fitting done.

My local club is Strathaven and I have in my possesion an application form for said club.

I had a lesson with the local Pro at the start of last week and it was very helpful, lots of food for thought. Think I will book another for this week coming.

I lived in Strathaven in the 80s and was told that there was a 12 year wait for membership of that club. This led to in my 25 year break from golf and the resultant rubbish golf I play today.
