Does anybody have any first hand experience of these courses: Whitehill, The Hertfordshire, Chadwell Springs and Brickenden Grange.
I am heading down that way in the sumer for a wedding and have been given an afternoon pass to spend on a Golf course. These are the 4 that are closest to our Hotel that look good.

Dont know about the other courses but I would definitely reccomend the Hertfordshire. Its a fantastic course with some really challenging holes. Being a crown golf member I can play for free down there and have really enjoyed it every time.

Minty18,

Thanks for that. I hope to get two rounds in and I am expecting one of them to be at the Hertfordshire. Will let you know nearer the time and maybe get together if you are available.

minty, can you tell me what the deal is with Crown Golf (send me a pm if you would). There's one of their courses nearby and I like the sound of the semi-nomadic existence it appears that you can get.

Hi there
Whitehill is my home course and well worth a round if you get time. Some interesting holes and the greens are normally good and true. Its a fairly hilly course and so not an easy walk.
Enjoy but save some energy for the long par 5 uphill 18th !!!!!

I am playing the Hertfordshire on the 13th March. Not played it before, but have a good deal with my society - £25 for bacon roll, round of golf, 2 course meal. Too good to miss really.

I used to be a member of the Hertfordshire. A tough finish from hole 14 onwards. The 15th is a brute. Only a short par 3 but it's down hill and if you miss the green, chances are it's lost ball
