Here's what you get if you're asked to play at the Masters

Hasnt changed in years, one of our members (Garth McGimpsey) got the invite as leading amateur in both 86 and 87 and Im sure the invite has been like that for decades before that too. One of them is on our staircase wall in the clubhouse. (the whole story behind it and him playing and beating Jack Nicklaus on the practice day of the year he last won the Masters http://forums.golf-monthly.co.uk/showthread.php?14562-Jack-the-gent&highlight=garth )

I love watching the Masters, but find a lot of the "traditions" etc all a bit naff.

Forfar golf club used to have a display of Stuart Wilsons memorabilia after he played there after his British Am win.Total old school traditional stuff was really nice to see.

A nice invite but it would be extra special with the players name on it. TWIMC seems a bit 'processed' or am i just being picky?

I would agree with that- it's special, it's elite so put the special elite players name on it.

The pro I had a lesson with last week was buzzing like a kid in a sweet shop because Xmas was over and it was another day nearer The Masters.
