Hey guys need some help,, need a club 2 bridge the gap between my 3wood and 3rescue . 17' rescue or 5 wood? Thoughts cheers

Get yourself on a launch monitor. Hit 10 shots with the 3 wood, then 10 with the rescue. Take averages, then plug the gap (if there is one).

Depending on how well you hit your rescue the 17 deg may not go much further than your 3 wood (assuming 3 wood is 15 deg). I played a 16 deg rescue that was no more than 5 yards short of my 3 wood. Don't use it anymore as there is no point. Consider also if you hit FW woods better or worse than hybrids. Surely the only problem is if you hit both as equally well. Some will say the hybrid is easier out of trickier lies. I think a 5 wood does it as well personally so that is not a factor for me.

I suspect you should have enough data/experience/information on your own game to know which club is best for you
