I have just started learning to play golf and currently only have a 7 iron. I was just after some advice on where would be the best place to buy clubs and if there is any particular clubs that may be better for beginners?

The best way to go would be to speak to your pro and get some decent used kit from him.

[FONT=.Helvetica NeueUI]I hadn't realised you could buy used equipment from there. I have had a few lessons and the local driving range, in the shop there I have only seen new equipment, nothing pre owned[/FONT]

My advice would be look for a decent set of Wilson Staff Di11 irons on ebay
Or maybe Mizuno MX100
Look for Regular Steel shafts until you know any different, both will serve you well and cost circa £100
Do not get a driver yet but if you must have one get an old ping G2 or G5 with reg shaft 10.5 or 11.5 loft ( still one of the best but cheap now )
Putter maybe second hand Odyssey Rossie perhaps standard length is 34"

There are clubs that are designed more for beginners , cavity back irons etc
