Help with Cis/tax

Hi can anyone help me with the self assessment form for tax return ? In the expenses part I type in my travel but do I type in gross or something else ? I.e 20% of the amount ?

You doing a P87? Put in the gross amount you spent.

Use the gross figure. You may want to download help sheet 232 from HMRC's website as it is useful in calculating your tax.
