Hi all,
I've been loitering for a while, so time to contribute I guess.... I'll start with a ramble!
I've recently returned to the game (played my 5th round back today) after about 5 years out and am now keen as ever..... I haven't joined a club and so have played a few different courses so far, all pretty nice and hit the range a few times. I'm not quite back to where I was (21ish) but getting there... Far far too inconsistent though, and miss far too many greens - usually to the right... I can feel a couple of lessons coming on!!! A big problem has been falling apart after about 14 or 15 holes though, this seems to be when tiredness, plus aches and pains set in (getting old)... need to play more, I guess, to build up the stamina....
I've seen a lot written about slow play - But had my first real taste of it today - queued on almost every hole and slogged round for 5 hours, nice enough course though....
I've been hitting Bridgestone E6's and really like them, nice and soft but played a couple of holes with a pro V1 today and have to say I prefer the feel of the E6...... strange!!! The second-hand clubs I bought are doing fine, but I'm getting an itch for something shiny Clearly with new clubs all my problems would be cured.....NOT...
I still haven't had a tee fitting though....................... oh the shame...
Anyway that's enough for now, time for a beer!
Cheers
Chris
