Hi there,

Long time lurker, first time poster, so hello one and all!

I've recently bought an SLDR driver from the fleabay, however realised that the torx screw in the slider weight is near rounded off. I've searched to no avail for a replacement screw. Would any of you kind gents/ladies be able to point me in the right direction?

Much obliged!

Could even be a standard screw. If it's like many of the others (though I've no actual experience of adjusting the SLDR) it's actually the wrench that has the torque mechanism and is even pretty standard across several manufacturers (but Adams is a bit different).

Can't help, but I've only adjusted mine away once then back again and the wrench slipped when seated properly.

I don't think they're made from a very strong material!

Ive had a look around DIY stores etc. and can't seem to find anything similar, so I'm guessing it isn't a standard screw (unfortunately!). Think I'll go with Alex' suggestion and contact TM direct. Wish I'd checked the photos a little closer when buying, but still a bargain and an awesome club nonetheless.

Thanks for for your help chaps.

it's it's a 6.5mm M4 bolt with a T25 head (but you can use any head you hunk would be better - personally I've never seen a torx head rounded off with the correct drive unlike PZ or slot and even the occasional hex)

The correct torque application also helps!

Lovely job, thanks for that Duncan, I'll have a mooch around for one.

the club didn't come with the adjustment wrench, so can only assume the previous owner lost it and had used the wrong bit to tighten it.

Probably the right conclusion - using anything except the exact bit will cause problems - potentially an even bigger risk would be under or over tightening (strip the threads on the weight and you have big problems!)
As to sourcing - I would agree with others that a polite request to TM is the best approach.
