Hi all,

As the newest member of the GM team I just wanted to say a quick hello. I'll chiefly be working on some GM-Foremost digital bits and bobs, but will also be chipping in with some equipment content for the mag, so will hopefully be able to provide the odd forum opportunity now and again.

I've come to GM from working at Today's Golfer and Golf World (banter welcomed and, in all honesty, expected!), so hopefully have a good enough knowledge to get involved in the many weird and wonderful posts that grace this forum.

In the meantime, be kind!

Jake

Firstly, nice pun.

Secondly, WELCOME! :whoo:

Thirdly, have you ever been custom fit for tees?

Jake there are a lot of pointless posts on this place mate.... The only question u ever need to answer is

Chocolate digestives or hob nobs....

Thanks all, in answer to the above I hit my 7-iron at least 300 yards, which I think is all down the the tee fitting if I'm honest, which gains me 10 every time a new model comes out!

GB72 - I was a Peterborough resident but moved back to the South East, where I'm originally from, to start at GM.

Scouser - That entirely depends on whether I'm dunking it in a tea, where the hob nob is king, otherwise its the digestive!

Hi Jake
Its good to see you have been working up the ladder.:D
Now you have reach the top mag so there is no going back.
Hope the new post goes well.

Welcome Jake......how does it feel knowing that forummers will be queuing up to pay at least £20 each for the honour of playing with you at next years help For Heroes?
............. I hear Homer's put in an early bid.....

Welcome Jake. I remember using the handicap tracker from todays golfer a few years back before I re-joined a club. Not sure if that was anything to do with you but it worked a treat:thup:

Welcome to the nuthouse Jake.
You'll soon work it out, oh, and where do you play down this neck of the woods?

Slime.

Nice to see that this 'Sweet Cheeks' is catching on.....unfortunately I think my chances of the Mizuno custom fit day may have disappeared!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. To those asking I'm as of yet undecided on what course I'll join in the Tonbridge/Tunbridge Wells area. I'm considering taking the winter 'off' to get some lessons and try a few local courses. Has anybody ever taken the winter off in favour of lessons? If so was it worth it?

I understand that any one that has used the term will not be 'winning' any future competitions/custom fittings etc.
