Hi all,

I have been reading this forum for a week or so now, and now have took the plunge!

I'm new to golf and had my 3rd leson 2night and starting to hit the ball true with a 6 iron 160 yards! The coach said that aint bad going.

I'm thinking of joining the London Club as I pass this on the way to the office :) Anyone know this club?

Anyone know of any good training aids that work?

So anyways just wanted to say hi!

Hey how you doing!

Was in the same place as you around 8 months ago! stick with the lessons!

For a club, shop around before you splash the cash. Go play some rounds on a pay and play course like Chessington (just off the A3), also stop in and try the Worl of Golf driving range in new malden!

Hi I know the London club quite well. It's great if you have the £20k for the joining fee followed up by about £2.5k - £5k p.a. membership each yr.

That said its a lovely club with great facilities, and it's great having yr clubs collected and cleaned before you start.

As a beginner it could be quite daunting given the large amount of water on the course and the very high rough. You go in it yr pretty much dead!

However if you live in the Kent area there a a large number of very nice and more reasonably priced courses around for the money!
