Got my quick 18 in yesterday, a little cold but dry. The course is actually quite firm still - new drainage working well. A couple of puddles but well off the playing line.
As always during winter, I carried my bag. I've got fed up of having to leave a trolley 30 yards away from the green so I don't "mess up" the aprons. Carrying means I can take everything to the ball. Also the need to put hedgehogs on the trolley turned me off.
Felt a bit tired coming off after another good round (39 points +8 gross) but not too bad. As an aside ,and I know the Golfing Gods are going to kick my ass for this, but at the moment this game is easy!!
This morning, however, I feel about 96 not 46! Everything aches to hell and back and the dodgy right knee and ankle are complaining big time.
I was adamant that I wouldn't fit hedgehogs to my trolley but I think the time has come. Still, it fills a gap in the Xmas pressie list.

I will be playing at Sandy Lodge on Thursday, and have been informed they have a trolley ban in place. Odd, because it is normally pretty dry there, and we have buggies out at my track which is only 3 miles down the road.

I have dusted off the old carry bag, but once filled with all the winter gear I am not looking forward to carrying it.

On the plus side, I have a new fleece hat to try.

I dislike carrying due to an old back problem

I have had hedgehogs since 1 November and they are fine, no wobbles

the Only wobbley things out there are Imurgs Tummy and my game

Played Sandy Lodge a couple of weeks ago and they had a trolley ban then even though the course was pretty dry.
Also, most of the bunkers are GUR at present as they are going through a huge refurbishment excercise.

I am not keen on Sandy Lodge anyway (we play team matches there too, so I have played it loads), but have to go as I am society Captain this year, and some one has to dosh out the prizes.
