Our downstairs gets fairly cold and you can feel the draught coming thru. A friend loaned me his thermal cam.. Pretty amazing piece of kit. but it threw up some curve balls. Our walls seem very cold and also our suspended floors. This can be seen when the radiator kicks in.. deep blue walls and orange rads.
I thought the previous owners had put in cavity wall insulation, You can see the plug marks around the house, but maybe it was not enough or a cheap job. Any one gone down this route of checking thermal efficency of the house?

No, but I love it. I never feel that our house is brilliantly insulated, walls and loft are done but like you I don't trust the wall insulation. When we get snow on the roof it doesn't melt so at least we know the loft insulation is working.

That seems a great idea for what you need to work on.

No, would love to! I know the upstairs windows are dreadful, some of the walls are freezing, probably a good idea not to do it here! LOL

That new double glazed door suddenly does not feel so insulated after all... the glass is fine, but the edge.... i m going to try and get new seals for it..
