Headwear, do you use it?

It's been a lovely day today. Teeing it up on the 1st I was sporting my baseball cap. Not posing or anything, merely protection from the sun as well as a bit of anti glare afforded by the peak.

Made it up to the 4th and the cap just had to come off! It was hot, my head was cooking and the headband of the cap was wet with perspiration.

This made me wonder........how the hell do the pros go on when playing in temperatures far greater than we've experienced over here so far?
I know sponsorship probably dictates that they be kept within view when possible, but my cap was really irritating me after the first 3 holes.

I tend to use the adidas climacool caps as I find they don't make my head so hot. As my bald patch is growning weekly it has become essential gear in hot weather not. Also, wearing glasses it helps reduce glare too

I only ever use a sun visor to prevent the sun's glare. Head doesn't get any hotter than normal as open on top. Still a bit sweaty on the head band though. How ever only other option is sun glasses which I find distracting and prevent seeing the ball land when hit a long way(not very often.)Need to ensure that the peak is plastic though as if cardboard then washing will ruin it.

Usually wear baseball cap, like Homer i wear glasses and find hats help with glare.

Also given the sun shine we had this weekend it protects the face and head from the sun.

I sometimes wear a hat but not often. Unless its really sunny I dont wear one as I hate the feel of sweaty head in the clubhouse after your round. lol

And I nearly always wear shades. I wear shades every day actually, I hate going to work and forgetting them.

I use visors caps and woolies in the winter always addidas clima cool in caps they keep you cool and are very comfy.

Don't like wearing anything on my bonce. I have a number of baseball caps and always have one in the bag but very rarely put it on.
I do wear a wooly hat during the winter months but this is only when it is absolutely necessary.

when i was in florida i bought a baseball cap and wore it the whole round, but i did find it uncomfortable. tried wearing it on saturday and i had to take it off after a few holes

I wear a baseball cap. I wear sunnies too. I wear the hat, because I need somewhere to put my sunnies when I putt. Never could putt with glasses on.

Only wear a baseball cap if the suns out or if it's raining. Generally wear the nike dry fit caps and they dont seem to make my head heat up too much.

Over the winter months however I wouldn't dare leave the house without the woolly hat!

I always wear a cap or hat cos, like Homer, I'm follicaly challenged and need to keep the sun (when it comes out) off my bonce or I get all hot and bothered!

I actually really like having my view framed as well. A cap cuts out distractions.

Climacool hat here, wear it nearly every round.

Especially in the rain as I wear glasses and it keeps most of the rain off them.

Golf just ain't golf without a cap on. Need it when its sunny to prevent Red-Ed and at all other times I find it helps block out distractions.

i wear a Cleveland cap. at the front its a baseball cap but at the back its nylon webbing so i dont get hot in it at all and did 27 holes in it this weekend. but i dont think they sell them anymore. if they do check on golfonline or onlinegolf becaus eits one or the other

almost always a hat, for shade as homer - glasses, migraine, and it's shining through. often baseball cap (almost any will do so long as they are made of a sensible material) but latterly into the most disreputable I can find - currently a Tesco wired 'bush' hat - nice brim fore and aft. (had to stitch some towelling into this though, 1 - to make it fit and 2 - to soak up the drips)
