http://www.adoregolfgrips.com has Black Widow WM1 half cord grips in black/red or black/white for £2 each, when you use the code:

14WM1

Just fitted one of these to my driver and it's as good as the golf pride half cord on my 5 wood

Postage is £2.50 so you'll probably want to order more than one

I got a jumbo Odyssey grip last week and the assistant pro fitted free of charge, basically because I'm a lazy sod. Not sure I'd get away with a set of irons free. He normally charges me a nominal amount for the tape and labour whenever I buy my own and ask him to fit them. I get away with it as the pro has a shockingly small range to choose from

i used to do my own regripping but my handiwork has been slated by Swinger. He reckons all my grips are wonky....

he's ruined my confidence.....I'm a broken man:o

Was tempted by these last year and then changed irons. Would be tempted to get a set now while they are cheap and then ask to get them fitted at a later date. Thanks for the heads up.

As long as you take care to get them properly lined up with the club head, don't use too much double sided tape so it sticks out the bottom, and clean off any excess glue with white spirit, they will look as good, or even better than, professionally fitted one at a fraction of the cost. I fit my own mainly because I can get them exactly as I want them in terms of thickness and alignment.
N.B. A lot of modern grips are round, so alignment doesn't matter any more. :)

Don't like Black Widow grips.

I play full cord grips but won't buy those. I much prefer the Lamkin or Golf Pride alternatives, based purely on quality.

Bet they're twisted !!:o

But not bitter and twisted, unlike some people on here! There is generally an alignment mark on the top and bottom of the grip. What I do is to clamp the club in a vice (with a protector) so that the bottom leading edge of the head is vertical - check with a spirit level, get everything well lubricated with white spirit, and then slide the grip on with the the alignment marks pointing vertically upwards. Generally they go on pretty square with only very minor adjustments required. :)

Take care how long you keep them though. Grips degrade even if not used, though regular grip-changers may not notice.
