Hazel Irvine

Now here's a daft idea.....why dont the BBC get an ex golfer to present the golf, like Rob Lee on Sky. Whoever they get it couldnt be much worse than the alternatives! :p

What about the Monty and Woosey Show?
The new Ant and Dec of Golf Telly?

She has presented Grandstand, summer and winter Olympics, Football world cup, Ski Sunday, World snooker championships, Wimbledon and the London Marathon to name a few. :)

Hey could be a lot worse!!!....i have a bad feeling Sam 'Amazing' Torrance is being groomed as Peter Aliss's replacement when he retires after The Open.....god help us!!!!!

Is Aliss really retiring? that is terrible news.

Not before time he must be 102 -KG that is.

Sam Torrance is really good - I'm serious!

I thought Ken Brown would be the obvious successor. Hazel Irvine does a lot of stuff on the BBC as has been mentioned already. The problem any presenter has with the golf is the US feed going to an ad break every couple of minutes and so having to fill time not always with pictures to help. At least she is a lot more lucid and better looking than Lineker

She really seems to be a genuine decent scottish girl (lady), proper athletic type with an interest in all sports.
I get the feeling she tried too hard the odd time ("Hello Mr Nicklaus" etc) but certainly easier to watch when you arnt cringing like mr line acre. He is good at footy, understands his own questions, last years Masters was woeful. It was like watching bambi all over again.

edit: Andy Yer BARRRRRRED!
