Just watched the press conference & the fun n games have already started. It was more like a pantomime. I'm not a Haye fan but I really hope he shows Fury for the bang average fighter he is.

i think my favourite Fury comment at the press conference was:

'm giving you a chance. I'm the young up-and-comer, the one on everyone's tongue. You're the one that stinks the place out and blames it on their toe

But in all honesty I can't think of 2 fighters I want to see square up less. Will I watch it though? Yes. Do I care who wins? Not particularly but it would be nice to see Haye beaten again. So maybe I do care just a little bit.

I'm the same mate, two average fighters but ill probably end up watching it. Fury could quite possibly be the thickest lump on the planet. Imagine either of them fighting Tyson in his prime.

Imagine them fighting any of the heavy weight fighters of Tyson era they'd take a severe pasting. Haye showed when he stepped up to fighting the Klitschko's he gave him all he could and it was enough, that he isn't the great he believes himself to be.

Never said he is but he is one of the best heavy weights of all time.

Tyson was good, he was never great.
He managed to dominate a notoriously weak period in Heavyweight boxing, any of the true heavyweight greats would have embarrassed him.
His resume isn't very good, in fact he lost to the only decent fighters he fought.
The likes of Frazier, Foreman, Ali, Norton would have beaten him handily.

Mike Tyson is one of the GOAT and COULD have beaten any fighter in the history of heavyweight boxing depending on which Mike turned up. The above comment is ridiculous...

Anyway Haye V Fury is going to be a great fight for Britain but I believe Fury will go down when Haye detonates one on his chin. He's already shown he is easily put down but he can get up. I believe his only weapons are the jab and he has a decent amount of heart. Haye for me though. I might be going to it but I'm not sure yet. I went to the Ruiz fight and made the mistake of attending the Harrison fight LOL

Agree with DAVEYBOY 100% anybody that reckons Mike Tyson wasnt one of the Greats are talking rubbish. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but on this occasion Mungoscorner is wrong!

The build up wil be nothing if not entertaining. But the fight itself will be brutal, Haye via a massive KO inside 5.

Would also have to respond to pin seeker, although Haye has been average at Heavyweight, he is far from an average fighter. At Cruiserweight he was sensational.

Who did Tyson beat ?
Tyson never fought any heavyweight of note in his prime, and when he did eventually fight a name he was soundly beaten.
Berbicks best win was against an almost 40 year old Ali.
Holmes was almost 40 and hadn't fought for two years.
Michael Spinks was a career light heavy.
Tyson made a name for himself KO'ing bums and hasbeens, this is not my opinion, its a fact.

Haye was a very good fighter at Cruiser, the Thompson fight beat a bit of sense and humility into him, and he came back a better fighter. His fight against Mormeck was a classic, and as much as i dislike him, i have to take my hat off to him for the way he came back and stopped Mormeck after being dropped heavily himself.
Fury is a far better fighter than he gets credit for, Chisora was being spoken about as a fiture world champ and a green Fury made easy work of him, and took plenty of big shots from Chisora without wilting.
I think Fury could certainly outbox Haye if he stopped showboating and stuck to boxing, but Haye is alawya capable of landing a big shot and even at heavy he's a murderous puncher.

Fair point mate. Haye isn't a natural heavy weight & it showed against Klitschko.

I do actually like Fury, and I fully agree he deserves a bit more credit. However Chisora was in terrible shape for their fight, and it was a poor fight all in all. However his last two fights have been very interesting, he boxed a very disciplined fight vs Johnson and looked very effective. Then against Cunningham showed real heart and determination, and came through despite being in big trouble.

His problem is he is too sloppy and can get dragged into a war. If he is to beat Haye he needs to jab his head off for the full twelve rounds, and should he get caught, he has to stay calm and stick to his gameplan. For me I just don't think he can do that at all, he is too temperamental and Haye is very quick and very accurate, if Fury gets lazy with that jab he's going to catch a massive right hand and it's game over.

Seen the press conference and thought fury looked like a very silly boy. The problem for haye is he hits like a hammer! Watched his last fight and the American out boxed him all through the fight until fury landed one very big dig! And boom, goodnight!
Haye could box circles around him in my opinion but its not enough, fury is suspect defensively so if have lands a few good shots it could be his night but fury will always have that big hammer in his locker. Hope it's a good fight though.
