...at the range earlier, the best looking irons FOR ME at the moment are, probably controversially, the Wilson C100 bats.
After last night's Desperado guzzling (awful idea) I went to Shay Grange this morning to bash a few balls into the wind. Now that's all pretty dull, the recurring wedge shank the only real point of interest. So, after shanking, chunking, hooking my way quickly through the basket, I went in to look at all the new shiney shineys on the shelves.
Was keen to see the Covert 2.0 irons, I like what I've seen on the net, but in the flesh, not for me. I'm a heathen who LIKES offset and these seemed to have little for a GI distance iron. Had a look at the X2 Hots, and same again, not that appealing. I'm also not a fan of the chrome look irons, I prefer something a bit duller in finish. The Apex irons looked real nice, but I wouldn't go near them, because I would be terrified of them.
Anyway, as above, pulled the C100 irons off the shelf and they look spot on to me, really suit my eye and I like the styling. As has been voiced in Homer's PING thread by a few, confidence in your irons and liking the look is almost (if not more) important than the numbers and stats they generate.
I have no idea what the real point of this post is, but just felt I would share the hungover ramblings of a fool. Now, on to pressing business.....the Russian ladies Curling team....
