Have your say.....Im not sensitive

Well roughly a week after pics of my swing being posted and the criticism being welcomed iv decided to upload some footage of my practice session last night....

Bare in mind that its only been a week but its a work in progress so go easy .....

The first 2 are PW's the second set are 8 irons and the 3rd set are actually 6 irons and not 5's...

From last night ball flight was much better and i only lost the odd one or 2 left of my target with an overcooked draw....For the majority of the shots they were straight over the flag or just a few yards right......
All in all the flight was a lot straighter than last week which nearly all were well left of the target....

Hold a pitching wedge FIRMLY diagonally across your body from your left hip to your right shoulder as if they are connected with a solid rod, on your downswing as your right shoulder comes down to 'cover' the ball... where does the left hip go?

Better still........ here's a vid :D

If you have the clubhead on your shoulder it starts approx 2ft higher than the grip (which is on your hip) but as you swing down the club drops onto a different plane as your right shoulder drops the clubhead (5min 49 secs) and the left hip RETRACTS - probably one of the best vids I've ever seen as it explains so much about the club going up on plane and what 'normal golfers' do from the top.

Here's yours from your top vid....... wedge?

Re: Have your say.....Im not sensitive

You're doing the bit where it goes back flat and comes down steep... you then stop your shoulder rotating in a bid to get the club swinging from the inside and your left hip doesn't clear. Hope that makes sense... the vid is great but not that easy to understand.... [perhaps].

If you address this move you might feel more comfortable with your backswing AND your downswing.

Backswing up more onto plane, downswing in line with forearm pane as the shoulder drops and the hips clear..... or fly me out to Ireland!

I like what you're doing with your takeaway although I think you need to get the club up a little... I remember something Faldo said back in 1851 about feeling like your left thumb is pointing into/towards your left ear  not sure if that'll help you....... but it's worth a pop :D:thup:

Feels a little funny bringing it up rather than in but it has definitely improved the dispersion and the contact.....
Towards the end i was starting to feel comfortable with it.....
Ill try that tip tomorrow night and see what happens...

You've obviously decided to follow James's advice and not mine so I'll leave you 2 to it.
Good luck

I think i saw a few things....

You have alot of leg movement, side on big gap between left leg and right leg on backswing

I also think the pre shot routine with the club face pointing to the ground nearly is not helping

Your divots look like they are facing left ?

What was your original fault and what have you changed ?

I was going to post something and this is the pic I just spent literally minutes making. I could have used yours!

I was going to say something about how low and left the hands are just after impact, but it probably amounts to the same thing you said. :)

No issue with the exit path of the hands, low and left is just fine, it's using the body to release the club rather than the hands.... bit like Mahan....
