Me and the Mrs came down with most of the symptoms 3 days after lockdown 1 was announced...
Back then you only got tested if you got taken into hospital so we don't know for sure but we're pretty certain.
Neither of us suffered that badly although HID was hit worse...
No. Had to shield during the 1st lockdown and since then I have been extremely careful where I have visited. I still put a mask on when going where the general public are.
Nope.
Have worked and travelled into London on public transport throughout the last 2 years. 3 young adult children in and out of the house have all had it, but neither my wife or I have. Have gone out, and visited pubs, restaurants, cinemas and theatres whenever we could.
Will probably start coughing tomorrow now...
Not as far as I know. Mrs. BiM has had it twice, I've not had symptoms on either occasion and the second time tested negative each day on a LFT. First time it happened we believe it was when she was diagnosed as having gastroenteritis; a subsequent blood test for an operation confirmed the Covid and by then there were some symptoms of Covid which matched the gastric symptoms. If it wasn't that then she was completely asymptomatic first time round.
Like others, not as far as I know - which is moderately surprising (being in Bergamo for most of it)
In saying that - i have been fairly rigorous about keeping a distance from folk - which isn't hard for me!
Myself and my wife are certain we had it in March 2020. We went to Singapore and Bali for 3 weeks and got back the day UK went into lockdown. Had to catch 4 flights to divert us back home due to cancellations which can’t of helped. Things escalated very quickly whilst we were out there.
Started to have symptoms 2 days after returning home and was quite ill but rode it out at home.
A couple week ago myself and my wife both had our first confirmed case of covid. We went to Center Parcs at the Lakes just to do some hiking up there, swimming etc and give the dogs a change of scenery.
I started to feel off on the Thursday evening, tight throat, cough and congested but generally mild symptoms. Left about 6am Friday to avoid contact with anyone and tested positive via lateral flow when I got home, so did my wife however no symptoms. Both had PCR and both tested positive. Wife then had mild symptoms and lost sense of smell completely a couple days later.
A client I work with visits a lot of lab testing facilities, attends meetings etc and has 5 kids. He claims he’s had it 6 times now as he tests regularly for work but had no symptoms on 5 occasions.
The wife had it Christmas 2020, I didn’t take any measures to seperate from her but I didn’t ever do a test so I don’t know if I had it. I didn’t have any symptoms though.
Yes, November or December 2020 - completely unaware I’d had it until long covid symptoms started in January 2021. First signs were my resting heart rate had jumped from 42-44 to 50-52bpm, then a racing/skippy heartbeat, then breathlessness, headaches that paracetamol wouldn’t shift and finally chest pain which was enough for me to go to the docs. After being hooked up to an ECG (twice) getting every test possible and being told my CV system was A1 they did an antibody test… and it “lit up like a Christmas tree” Long Covid it is then. Still struggling with it now, my resting HR has dropped to 48-50bpm and on good days I can do a decent intensity bike session. I’ve been advised to try and (slowly) build fitness up again.. not easy when you’re wiped out after a 3h20 round of golf using an electric trolley ? Recovery time is so long after any exercise. I did my last Ironman in September 2018 and had planned to do Wales… think those days are well behind me now. More time for golf though so it’s not all bad ?
Yes early January this year, had a slight sore throat for 3 days and slightly aching arms for a day in the middle.
Positive LFT followed by a positive PCR test.
Tested negative on days 6&7 so released back into society
Given my medical history, I’ll happily take that ?
Was very ill late Jan/early Feb 2020 with corresponding symptoms. Bedding had to be changed a couple of times a day for several days due to the sweats. Had to sleep sitting up due to the feeling of weight/drowning, and noise of crackling lungs/wheezing. Worn out trying to ‘cough up’ buckets of rubbish.
Not something I’d like to experience again, but maybe it was just a nasty chest infection.
