putter grip that is.
I'm thinking of getting one fitted to my titleist putter .what if any are the advantages of a fat grip.?
I have a bad habit of pushing my putts out to the right on a straight putt.is this hands getting in the way and would a fat grip take the hands out of the equation a bit?

Had one fitted today, had a play with a mates and then chatted to people on here, seems to help with grip pressure and stroke, feels more solid and the wrists quiet
Will confirm or deny after weekend

Yes, I use the Super Stroker slim 2.0, suits me just right, has helped my putting no end. One piece of caution the really fat grips do not fit in normal putter bays, the 2.0 is the largest that will fit. After that you're putting in you bag, might not be an issue but worth mentioning.

Yes, they are supposed to take the hands and wrists out of the stroke. Tbh, I have one made by 'iguana' , a lit cheaper than a Super Stroke and not too chunky.

Try a putter with one on before you go ripping grips off

Super stroke 2.0. 3.0 is the biggest I would go

Have tried the SuperStroke 1.0, 2.0 and other big grips. HATE THEM.

Superstroke Flatso Ultra, good enough for the best so good enough for me.

Got a Pure Grips Big Dog jumbo paddle. Works well as its not quite as big as the superstrokes but still chunky enough. Very soft and at 107g gives a nice weight to the putter.

I've got a 2thumb grip fitted sideways so I didn't have to change my grip totally. It definitely works for me.

I've been firmly in the "hate them" camp.
Just felt so wrong.
I've tried the slightly wider ones and then really chunky ones..
Just No!!
Then I acquired a 2-ball from a certain well known auction site and it came with a Superstroke Mid Slim 2.0 on it.

I decided to give it a try for a week before ripping it off and replacing it with the Winn grips I usually use....
Well, 3 months later and its still there and its not going anywhere anytime soon.
I'm putting better than ever with it.

I have tried a fat grip a few times but it just feels like a cricket bat handle, which takes away all the feel from the stroke. I will stick with my 40 year old Anser and conventional style.

Did have the fatso 3.0 which I loved, then tried a flatso which is even better. Going to take something special for me to change to another grip!

Fat grips are a massive 'tell' in matchplay. Likewise with complex, multi weighted jumbles of metal heads and putters that look fresh out of the box pre match.

None of the above get gimmee's from me.

I do get unnerved by an old codger, with an equally old and battered, bronze, Ping Scottsdale Anser, with a shiny rubber grip, polished with use.

We ain't pro's - I always judge an opponent's putting ability by the size of his grip and head - the bigger, the crapper.
