Does anyone know if Mount Oswald Golf Club and Woodham Golf & Country Club in County Durham are still going? If not when did they close?

Woodham is in administration & planning consent has now been given to build houses on the Mount Oswald site, after several unsuccessful applications.

Is Mount Oswald the one behind Van Mildert ? I once hacked around there in my student days. On reflection, it may have been the first 18holer I ever played...

It's a shame I remember when Woodham was built but having moved south 15 years ago I never got to play it. I occasionally play the Aycliffe Municipal course when visiting family and wish membership in south was similarly priced because at less than £400 per year it offers good value for money.

Trying to get pictures of both Woodham and Mount Oswald to put on The Golf's Missing Links website before they finally disappear. If anyone has any or can help it would be much appreciated.

Such a shame about Woodham. Only played there once and enjoyed it. As a beginner I found it surprisingly easy compared to my home course Boldon.

I think woodhams problem is it is a swamp for half the year, it's (was) a great layout though.
Incredible how many GC's are closing,seems to be so frequent reading about it nowdays, so sad...
