Just think Jason Day deserves credit for completing his round despite his attack of vertigo. The fact that he pitched up on the Tee for his next round and got himself into contention even though he was visibly unstable on his feet deserves respect.

I take my hat off to him.

Popped into Ladbrokes before third round yesterday and a few bob each way at 20's for a Fathers Day gift! Think he is quite excited now

Some of the coverage on Sky Sports was over the top, with Rich Beem calling it a seminal moment we'll be talking about for years and the bravery he showed for carrying on. Well done for carrying on and all that, but at the end of the day someone fainted and then carried on playing golf for half a hole. It's hardly George Cross material.

He did a cracking job to carry on with vertigo, having spoken to people who suffer the condition I know an attack can be debilitating. Yes, I think at times perhaps the commentary team may have got caught up in the heat of the moment and perhaps got a bit enthusiastic with the use of adjectives; but I find that's occasionally quite an American personality trait.

To compare a vertigo attack to a simple faint isn't an accurate description though.

I agree. Admirable of Jason Day to do what he did, but Sky were way over the top. that didn't stop me for routing for him though.

My lady suffers from Vertigo (BPV) and believe me its a bit more than 'fainting'.

It can come on out-of-the-blue or by a movement of the head. The positional awareness and balance is knocked completely off kilter with severe nausea - I hope you never experience it yourself.

I have to say all the talk of "bravery" was way OTT. Can't recall who they interviewed yesterday but he said "it was the bravest thing I've ever seen, such courage" - ridiculous!
