morning all

with the season proper underway I just wondered if anyone has managed to cut their handicap yet or have you had an increase?

I will have got .1 back from last Saturday's showing at Hoylake and subject to CSS at Delamere on Thursday I think I might have been cut .3 meaning my exact should be 7.6 so I'm still off 8

Spring meeting at Hoylake next week so hopefully I can get down to 7. Goal for the season is 6 so need to get going soon!

Not for me. Only played 1 qualifier and it was reduction only, luckily.

Will have weekends of for 6 months now so looking forwrd to shaving some shots off it. With a bit of luck.

Playing and actual, 19 :(

Tony ...You off 19 ?????

As a great English philosopher once said ::::

"MY 4R5E"

You will be off 11 if Dodgers opinion of your swing is correct.

I don't think mine will change as I am still a golfing orphan as I left my last club cos it was pants and the one I want in to are looking for £800 joining fee which will be scrapped next year so I aint doin' that.

I am in a quandry

'Andra, yes :(

Funny really, put my 3 cards whilst still finding my feet at the club.

On all 3 occasions I had to rush around with a member just so they could sign a card, not a big deal they were just short of time and kindly offered to extend there 12 or 13 holes for me, so I rushed my little legs off.

Had the 3 worst rounds too, was so focused on going low, I forgot how to play. carded two 87's and an 89. Par 69 (not sure of sss, might be 70)

A guy I play with weekly shot two 89's and a 93, he got 16 :D

I also Eagled the 18th on my last card.

Best thing is, I shot a 78 the week before. I felt so ashamed when it went up :o

3 comps, 2 buffers and 1 0.1 on the handicap. Really dissapointed as apart from the driving the short game is solid and my iron play is good. 16.2>16.3. m hoping to get to 13 by the end of the season.

This season is going well with 3 cuts so far (and would have been more if March Medal had not been the last of the Non Qualifiers). First cut was from 27.4 down to 25, next was from 25 to 24.6 and after yesterday down to 24.2.

The aim is to get under 20 before The Belfry

Glad to say, lessons and practice over the winter have started movement in the right direction. From 21.5 to 19.1. Still feel i can get to 18 or better if I carry on with the extra practice.

If I do get to 18, I think I'll deserve a prize :)

Three qualifiers gone so far and two no-changes and one round of utter rubbish yesterday caused by an 8 at the SI.2 from a silly decision at trying to get too much distance out of an uphill fairway bunker then when I did get to the green I putted just past the hole which ended u running away back off the green by 30 yards, our place is getting as close to the middle of summer conditions as Ive seen in years. Bloody frustrating so looks like im getting my first .1 of the season to go up to 9.3 :(

Started at 9.3 and got to 8.1 now back to 8.3.

Target is 6.0 cos the missus says I can have a leccy trolley when I do( I play too fast so need to slow down by using a leccy) ;)

Began at 11.1
Got a cut to 9.9 and then went up .1 shooting nett par (css 5 under par!!).
Going to be the last official movement for a while as the membership runs out thursday and there's no sign of me being able to rejoin for a while. So a steady 10 for the next few months.

Started season on 19.3 went up to 19.4 but successfully got it cut to 17.3 after a 42 pointer recently.

Set a target of 15 by season end so half way there.
