Has slow play disappeared ?

Don't be daft. Sadly it is as prevalent as it ever was. Arguably it'll get worse inthe winter as people muck about with brollies, take trolley on extended diversions around greens and tees and look for balls in sodden rough. Oh joy

Have to say it will get worse. Yes there are less people on the course but they all pitch up at the same time. The early starters arrive later as it gets light later and the late starters arrive earlier to get their round in before dark. Most of the club are on the course about 10.00

It has disappeared for me Sev.

I set my expectation level at a 6 hour round and I have got round quicker than that every time! Happy - you bet!

Has slow play disappeared? No. Definately NOT.

I have in fact just resigned from my club after 12 years as a member to seek a club which activly works to keep slow play out of the picture.

I believe I have found one - time will tell.

Winter golf. Too cold to dawdle.

We went round in 3.45 yesterday.... very refreshing.
Lost 3 balls in first 4 holes. 2 were in bounds!!!! I hate leaves.

Was watching some of the Ladies ET last week and they were taking over 6 hours for some 3-balls!! Not sure why the European Tour aren't stamping it out. I was just grateful there was some coverage on, we don't get anywhere near enough of the Ladies' Tours.
