I have been invited by one of my fellow work colleagues to have a round here on Sunday.

Just wondering if anyone has played recently. Looks a tad more difficult than what I am used to but never the less looking forward to testing myself on a new course.

I played there in the Doug McClelland charity golf day two years ago. It wasn't as tough as I was led to believe & a really nice course. As long as you're not off the very back tees you should enjoy it. I did, I won a pair of shoes for nearest to the pin & a Motocaddy M1 in the raffle.

Cheers Jensen & Maninblack. The length of the course and the number of bunkers has kind of got me intrigued about how to course manage my way around, as my course isn't very long at all.

I can definitely see why you enjoy the course maninblack; that is some haul!!

Am currently a member here - lovely course, great food - it is not a difficult course to play at all

You will have a fab day I promise

Played there a number of times and with several "new" golfers and they got round without any issues so you'll be fine. It's relatively long but playable. The greens I found dreadful last time but usually ok if a little slow. It's a decent place to play and reasonable food too

Cheers Lads, looking forward to it more so. Thanks for the replies.

edit: HomerJ - very well written blog post; all I have to do is hit it straight and I'll be grand - there lies the problem :D

I've played it a few times, but not for a long while.
I always enjoyed it and once, playing it off 18, shot 8 over gross ..................... meaning it's certainly not overly difficult!
