Has anyone been to the Golf Show at the NEC in November?

Went a few years ago with my dad,it was packed, could not get near most of the stalls. They put a bus on to the Belfry where you could try various drivers & irons on the range.Food was expensive,Would i go again no.Nothing Special,if you go in a well stocked local golf store you will see the same stuff.

Similar to the London Golf Show for those that have been there. Overcrowded and basically a host of stalls trying to flog you gear and holidays. Long queues for the range area and putting green. If you don't mind the crowds and can be prepared to wait around its ok but nothing to get overly excited about.

Proberbly but is it worth trailing down to the nec to find you might get close to the Titleist stand or wait a few hours on the range. If you have this time to spare spend it on the course and wait for the reviews in the mags, far better than wasting time at these places. In my own opinion

If I lived near it I would go again, I went to the last one with VIG and we had a decent day. Got a great deal on some snake eye wedges, Vig managed to have a good look at the sono caddie he bought, we tried Nike gear, snake eyes gear, Wilson gear, adams gear, got to play with a 78* wedge and I got a prototype grip for free. Good selection of gear there and we got to see some cool golf bag strap that looked like 'shoulder bones' that are due out sometime.
