Has anyone been to El Rompido in Spain

Hi Everyone

I'm new to forum but have been an avid follower of many of the threads for a while. I'm considering taking a golf holiday in either Spain or Portugal this Summer, looking on line I have become have totally bewildered by the choice. I called Your Golf Travel who recommended El Rompido and was wondering had any first hand experience of the place.

It's a great place that I can thoroughly recommend. Not normally on the radar as it is well away from most of the golf resorts in Spain as it is close to the Portuguese border. Two great courses and a good clubhouse and lots of sunshine. Not madly expensive either, depending on when you go. There are some other decent courses in the area too, though I rated El Rompido as the best.
Nightlife is a bit quiet, but if you want really fresh seafood and nice wine it's great.
