About time- exciting player to watch and enjoyable.

Genuinley seems to love scoring, reminds me of a young Kenny Dalgleish

Also why isn't Jack Colback in the squad. He's had a better season than Barkley, Delph and Carrick.

I usually agree with your views on football Richy but Colback? Really? He's average at best, same as Delph and Carrick, at least Barkley shows a spark of genius every now and then.
I do like Kane though, he shows a lot of class and composure in front of goal.

My best mate is an Everyon fan and says Barkley has been terrible this season but like you said he shows flashes of brilliance so I'd have him in.

Suprised on your views on Colback. Have you watched many games this season? He's been consistently one of our best players. The stats back that up against other English midfielders. He isn't flash but he breaks up play well and rarely gives the ball away. He'd be perfect for that holding role instead of playing someone out of position there like he did with Wiltshire. Square pegs and round holes though it seems.

given current form it would of been more of a shock if he hadn't made the squad.

Looks like he'll be in the U21 in summer though.

I hope all the eligible players go and gain a winning mentality at international level

But have no doubt a number will pull out

Really you can send raheem and co maybe they are tired and can hop on a flight to the Bahamas tomorrow! :D

I personally think the u21 should be part of the development and if players make 1st and then full international especially regularly they shouldn't then go back to play in summer tournements.
Give them a rest this summer ready for euro 2016

Which is the opposite of what tournament winning countries do - players like Mata , Thiago , Muller , Neuer , Khedria etc where full internationals when an U21 happened yet they still went to the U21 to gain a trophy winning mentality

The winners of the WC and EC in past have trophy winning U21 teams

From a club point of view I would like the likes of Sterling , Ibe etc not kick a ball in the summer to give them a rest but if England are to start improving then the U19 - U21 teams needs take the summer tournaments seriously and pick the strongest best teams available

maybe long term but we are a million miles away from threatening to win anything, the biggest issue imo is the club v country row until country comes first then we will never galvanise and make a decent effort at most tournements.
The blueprint needs to start way back down the chain at schoolboy level.

In 2010 England won the 2010 Under 17 championships - 5 years later only one player is in the current England squad ( Barkley ) and only another one playing regular Prem first team football

Need to develop those players through the club's also

If England want to improve then quotas in the Prem would need to start , youngsters go to the U21 tournaments

Perfect example is Tom Ince - has turned down the call up and won't go to the U21 tournament.

It doesn't have to be a club vs country - looked after correctly they can work together - but needs change within the England set up and clubs needs to look to young English players

That's the problem, too many are pulled out by their clubs when in reality, they are still young players and still learning their trade. The experience gained in an U21 tournament would be invaluable in later years. Too often players are bigged up and in the main team and don't perform because they haven't learned their trade properly at that level.

Good call up as long as he's given a chance and not just used as a sub. The problem we have in this country is the media are so result driven and there's no time to throw the U21's and younger first team players in for a period of time irrespective of the scores to let them learn to play against tactically superior opposition and what to do to win games ugly

It's because he's ginger😃

I believe in playing in form players and if they're good enough, age is irrelevant.
