American scramble this morning just for nine holes thank goodness. Wind gusting up to 50mph on each and every hole plus trying to get used to my latest swing change following a playing lesson which is a hugely shortened backswing. Plus was that the sun shone and the company and my putting were good.

Same here, there was a traffic jam outside our main bathroom, then a few toys around the bottom of the stairs. Thankfully I dodged the puddle on the way to my garage office. Phew!

Git! :p

I was nearly 80 minutes through jams lakes and rivers that used to be puddles. Park car, then a 10 min walk nearly being blown in front of traffic, to sit in a cold office drinking bad tea and moaning about the weather, meh!

I managed a quick 7 holes this afternoon, very rusty is an understatement.
Saying that I was nearly getting blown over at the top of my backswing. That doesn't excuse leaving pretty much every putt short of the hole :smirk:
Good to get out and hit a ball though, it feels like its been a while.

Can't believe you were out playing in this!!?

Been hard enough working at home listening to wind batter the house all day never mind trying to play golf!

I just had to get out Iain I was going cold turkey, the tell tale signs were there.. I cleaned my clubs/grips last night then started putting on the carpet :(

even harder here... as in that i'm actually at work:(

Worse for me as I had a business meeting at 7am and as daylight broke just before 8, there I was staring out at the 14th green and 15th tee of the course where the meeting was. Come 9.30am I was off and away without a ball being struck.

At least you didn't buy another set of irons!!

I'm hoping it calms down for Saturday, played twice last weekend in the wind.

Don't think I've ever cleaned my grips!

No chance of playing at my place as it's been shut for the last 3 days. And with more rain forecast not much chance of playing at the weekend either. Hey ho, life is life.
