happy now Delc ?

For the serious golfer I think that's a really good think. Would take a while to work out which clubs they would need though! More money for the customer fitters....?

Tom Wishon recons that 4* gaps for player who swing a 5 iron over 85 mph, 5* gaps for 80 mph and so on as far as gaping goes.

Never mind the gapping and choice....I would sleep with those irons!

I wonder what the accuracy of the manufacturing process is, many club manufacturers have a couple of degrees tolerence.

It would be interedting to see how they actually measure up, I know whn I got my clubs the 7, 8, 9 irons were all within 5 degrees and this propted me to get the full set checked, none where what they were advertised as.

Nice looking clubs the hogans though

Rick Shiels has just reviewed these, and it's safe to say he was pretty impressed by them. He normally doesn't strike blades too well (look at the Nike Vapor Pro's for example), but boy was he hitting these well. They look awesome!

Way too much detail and I can't really see the point.

I cant see the point of these at all.

A good fitter would gap fit your irons after you've received them and got used to them them anyway.

just because irons have consistent degree gaps doesnt mean they will go consistent distance gaps.

As long as the shafts are the right length, it should!

All rubbish , you only need 3 if that but with the right bounce and a bit of skill and practice you can play all the shots you need , the key is say a 70 yard shot , oh thats a lob wedge some say , you should learn to do it with a 56, 52, and wedge , that is the key , not buy a wedge for every 10 yards

4 degree gapping will give an approximate 10 - 12 yards difference between clubs for a decently average golfer. 5 degree gapping a bit more. You can only carry 14 clubs within the rules of golf, which puts a constraint on any tighter gapping than this! :)

I think you may have missed the point of these. It's not just wedges but the whole iron set that you choose the lofts of.

Fed up with strong lofted sets? Want to spread them out more to fit another wood in? Sorted.

I think it's a great idea, but my reservation is how tight are the tolerances? You read about off the shelf iron sets being a few degrees off. Do that with these and the whole point of them is defeated.

That's good to hear. I wish all manufacturers followed that mantra.

The last wedges I bought are all a little off on the loft and the lie angles are shockingly different to advertised specs.

The joys of maintsteam brands! after seeing the Titleist production line via a golf monthly prize this doesnt suprise me

If they are offering funky lofts then its in their interest to get it right. It wouldn't be long before some website pounced on it if they got it wrong. The bad publicity would sink them.

Couple of people on a loft and lie machine goes a long way.
