arrived for the monthly medal this morning to be greeted with my first ever golf 'trophy' - 3rd place medal for December

followed that up with my best ever medal round, net 66, -4

so I am shortly expecting my first ever cut.

a bit of gloom!

I was talking about this at work this afternoon, as you do, when I realised that it didn't add up. I may have signed for a wrong total! I contacted the committee, but don't know if that will do any good.

apparently if it is just the total then I may be OK but if any hole scores are recorded wrongly then it's DQ.

whatever happens, I've still shot my best ever medal - just may not get any credit for it.

Had that the other week. Shot a nett 71 but signed for a 70 as too eager to get a drink and get home so didn't check the numbers as I was entering them into the computer - my error and one I won't be repeating as I rightly got D/Q'd

One of the best things about this game is the way players will penalise themselves. Respect to you for contacting your committee, it shows integrity of the highest order.

Lets hope it won't be a D/Q.

Lucky, it was the total so not a DQ but a lesson well learned.

We both miscounted an entire hole so even par and still my best medal score by some way. 3rd in the division but no cut this time. It is coming.

Hapless you would have been amazed at the short game!
