Today I managed to hit some balls for the first time in God knows how long, no wind, no snow, no ice, no frost and unbelievably no rain!

Anyway I had about an hour 40 minutes on the practice ground hitting balls. Just took my time, worked on alignment, (v-easy) and concentrated on turning the left shoulder and getting a full follow through onto the left peg to finish. Good session if I'm being honest and enjoyed hitting balls off of turf again. Slightly soggy under foot but no slips or loss of traction in my old Puma boots.

Sundays like today make me happy, stealing an opportunity from mother nature feels like a victory!!

:fore:

Yip murph, we were on temps too however I didn't really have time for a round so I went to the practice area instead and had it all to myself. Enjoyed it.

Probably the better idea.

Happy you are hitting the ball a bit better. Cycling obviously does you good. If you did enough of it, you could turn pro?

Looks like were in for a bit of a turnaround this week weather wise.
With the south enjoying some damaging winds,so no golf for me.
Well done for getting out and practising in between storms.

I'm planning to hit the range tomorrow before the winds come. Hit some balls today but not a range session that I was looking for. Off for a 30 minute lesson with a local pro who has been following my blog and wants to offer his opinion on Thursday so that will be interesting if we get the forecast gales

Nice one Crawford, just got to play through it eh...........ran down to Dunbar today, played 14 holes and you would not know it's winter. Full greens n white tees, fairways still had run, AND,the greens got a little trim. Played a few holes with the ex club champ and I fired two birdies in the first few holes. Course is playing great and I hit the ball solid.
