I am playing in the Phyllis Tuckwell (Farnham Hospice) charity golf day on Tuesday 11th October. It is teams of four players. I am already in a team, but have reserved another team as I thought there may be some forumers that would like to play.

The cost per person is £80 which includes bacon rolls, two course carvery after the golf, and prizes.

Golf is a shotgun start at 9.30. To make it work we will need four forumers. A round at Hankley Common is normally £100, so this a cracking deal. Hankley Common is a superb heathland course, and is in the Golf Monthly top 50 courses from memory.

PNWokingham has expressed an interest in playing, so I will start the team with Paul.

Once we have a team of four I will sort out the application form, and monies.

Please note I have no attachment to the charity or Club, and this is just being offered as I thought forumers would like a chance to play such a lovely course. Hopefully not breaking any forum rules.;)

We have a team.

I will settle with the charity in the next few days, so if any one can't play let me know asap.

Looking for a 4th as Paul has unfortunately had to pull out.

Should be a cracking day on a course ranked 41st in the GM top 100. Green fees are usually £100, so £80 including food and prizes is a bargain.

If you are a player short or/and if murphthemog cant make it and you don't mind me attending:o, I would love to play hankley. Would just need to check that the wife can cover the phone on that day.

Bacon rolls from 8.00 guys. If you are wearing shorts, you need to wear white socks above the ankle. Need to change for the carvery, but smart casual is fine, or jacket and tie if you want to be posh.;)

What a perfect day for golf

Myself and Murph got there nice and early and the frost was on the ground and it looked like it was going to be a chilly day but then the sun came out and it was lovely

At first I wasn't blown away by the course - it was in lovely nick and it was very pretty with some lovely holes but I wasn't wowed by it - until we reached the par 3 6th ? What a hole and what a view - the rest of the holes were just stunning and it was a pleasure to play the course. There a couple holes which are decent but the rest are very very good.

As for the golf - we got some good scores but didn't play the par 3's very well which cost us - my putter was very cold today which was disappointing but some cracking shots all round today.

Was a pleasure to play with Chris , Craig and Jeremy and i look forward to going back one day

Course was stunning. I have played Hankley for over 30 years and this is the best condition i have ever seen it in. Food was great as well, and all for £80. A real bargain, and hopefully some decent money raised for a top charity.

The A team gave the B team a good stuffing. Life in the old dogs still.;)

What a day. Really fantastic. Could have driven the ball better, but what the heck, it's not just about the golf. Enjoyed the company, the weather, the golf course, the food, and even a sludgy M25 couldn't ruin it.

Thanks guys.
