Morning,

I am playing at Hankley Common tomorrow and am hoping that the weather stays fair.

If you haven't played it, you should try to as it is a beautiful golf course and right up there with the best of the Surrey-Berks sandbelt tracks.

The club are justifiably proud of the fact that during your round, the only man made structures that you can see are the clubhouse and the starters hut at halfway. It is a terrific experience and great food too.

It is an absolute gem of a course...

I've entered the mid amateur open there which includes a free practice round the week before. Really looking forward to it if i get in.

Enjoy your day, looks superb.

It is fantastic. One of my favourite courses and I would rate it as better than Wentworth and almost the equal of the Berkshire and Sunningdale.

If you have time, take a look at the 7th hole on the relevant section of the website. it is acclaimed as one of the best par 3's in the country. Very tricky to make par. My PA, the glamourous Tessa, will be on the tee tomorrow raising money for Help For Heroes by giving our field of 60+ the chance to double their money if they hit the green. That said, if any of them take the cash then you can rest assured that they will be mentioned in my speech at the end of the day!

We've got 18 holes of Stableford and 14 holes of Greensomes. Should be lovely if the sun shines.

PS - check out the 18th too - a magnificent finishing hole...

Awesome day. We raised loads for charity and the course was in fantastic condition.

Sparkling play too by some, especially my guests who won the greensomes pairs in the afternoon. They were off 12 and 13 handicap and got a stableford score of 34 for 12 holes! That was 2 under gross. Terrific stuff!

Anyway, play Hankley whenever you get the chance. It is absolutely sublime.
