Today I pledge never to bother doing this again.

It was our second major competition today, i was drawn to start at 6:30...Yesterday England played....see where this is going??

Left the house yesterday at 4:30pm to head to a mates where we all gathered for a BBQ and 'some' drinks. I stumbled out of a cab at 2am this morning, fumbling for my keys and repeating to myself i had to set my alarm

I really shouldn't have subjected myself or playing partners to it today. My two birdies and a 14 over par total really hide a shocking display!

Never again. From now on, it's a night out and a lie in, or its my golf.

My specialist subject!!! I played 4 rounds last summer (longest day challenge) from getting in at 2:30am after a shed full of booze and a dodgy takeaway to be picked up by Martin (Homer) at 4:00 to tee off at 4:30am. I like hangover Golf and usually play better because of it. It slows down my swing and I take my time over putts.

Oh and you dont expect anything which often leads to good scores :)

I'm a big fan of hangover golf. Last time that I was truly hungover and played was up in Dundee. We'd played two of the three rounds and I was one clear of the field. Cue a really big night ending up in a casino after chucking out time at a club.

I stood on the first tee and took a practice swing. I then had to sit down for about 5 minutes for everything to stop spinning. I swung really easily all day for fear of the consequences and hung on to win.

Poof. :D

I and some other forum members are about to do 4 rounds in the Algarve like this.

Is Spinn77 a man or a mouse?? Pass him the cheese. ;)

That said no doubt I will be found on here in ten days time writing the same! :D :D ;)

I like playing wasted, no better feeling. It's when you daren't pick the ball out of the hole, fearing the consequences. Puking in the hole is a no, right?

I really don't understand how people play well hungover.
I've done it once or twice but out of all the times I've played with a hangover that makes for a tiny success rate.

Head pounding, blurry vision, dizzy spells, dehydration, lack of concentration. Not fun in my book.

I can understand that you wanted to drown your sorrows after the England match but you were always up against it the next day.
