hi ,just joined the forum my question is if i had a handicap of 28, on what holes would i get strokes on and how many?

You'll get 2 shots on stroke indexes 1-10 and 1 shot on every other SI

Each hole has a stroke index (SI) numbered from 1-18. 18 is the easiest hole, 1 is the hardest. You would get two shots on SI holes 1-10 and one shot on SI 11-18.
If you are playing matchplay against a 20 handicapper you would receive 8 shots and you would take these on the 8 hardest holes on the card (SI's 1-8)
