what is with handicaps like 24.5 and 20.1 why are there .1s and .5s??? i dont get it i just have a 15.0 lol

Are you a member of a club and enter club competitions? Its all to do with e CONGU handicapping system which says if you are outside the compettion scratch score (CSS) buffer zone of three shots (e.g CSS = 70 so the buffer will be 73) you are deemed not to have played to your handicap and get a 0.1 increase. Similarly if you have played blow the CSS you will get cut dependant on your handicap division
