hi guys

finish school for 2 weeks on friday so will be (weather permitting) getting my 3 cards in for my handicap , playing at 8.40 on monday so hopefully the weather will hold up! i was wondering , how do they tell you what your handicap is once you have give the cards in and how long does this usually take,

Not long, probably within a few days if the secretary wants to get it done.
Somewhat oddly, I've never get a letter or confirmation, it just appeared on the h'cap list.
I asked for a proper certificate and complained after one never appeared in my pigeon hole after 7-8 days.....

Depends on the club/secretary. Mine was done within an hour of handing in my 3rd card as the club secretary was on my case.

Generally it will then appear on the h/cap list whenever they bother to update it... you don't get a certificate, well not that I'm aware of...but you can ask for one if you're desperate or need one to go play a course that requires one.

No certificate at our club either. You just get logged into the PSI system and its there when you enter the competition. I reckon 3-5 days is a fair period of time to wait
