Handicap Up .1

Played on Saturday in the first comp of the season ,checked Howdidido to find i'd went up .1, okay i played rank rotten but the 16th was a winter green and the 17th tee moved up 60 yards to the fairway surely you cant go up .1 when the course was like this.

I thought so long as 16 holes are normal the course is acceptable for handicapping purposes as if it gets too easy there is freedom to adjust the CSS down by two shots!

Never mind Steve when the shining White knight arrives you'll be travelling in the opposite direction!

Must be time to change some gear if it aint performing.

No qualifying comps all winter with us even though we dont play on temps....I'd be up to 4hcp if we did.

I think it still counts for handicap purposes provided no more than 2 temps are used and the course is not more than 100yds shorter than measured.

Maybe you should go up 0.2 for the course being easier

No Ivan only gear is reverse where my games going .

We had this about 5 years ago when the 11th was a temp green in the Medal i shot net 68 and didn't get cut alot of the guys are moaning about getting up point on when it wasn't a full course.

Thats for the only ones that were easier ,the course play longer in the winter as they have built in astro turf tees at the back of the medal,but this week 3 of the tees were the tiger tees back in the field so alot longer than normal.

You should join my club we are remodelling 3 greens and the estimate is May before we play on them. So no up or down until then .

Luckily we don't get any off this type of thing, No competitions from mid October to the last weekend of March.
