This may have been covered so apologies if it has (couldn't see it in the search) but I have found a good handicap calculator for excel which I personally think is very good.

Couple of points.

Paying Handicap doesn't need decimal place - it's always an integer
Doesn't allow for Buffer!!!
Gets calc wrong if you score exactly to handicap!!!
Stableford Adjustment?!!!

Just use an online one, golfshot, golfshake, todaysgolfer all very good and free and web based.
