Anyone got any idea what the letter 'i' means in relation to a handicap?

One of the winners of a recent competition at my club had a handicap of 19i, according to the results published through Howdidido.

Never seen this before, just interested.

Thanks in advance

How long does it take for Howdidido to catch up with things? From 1st January players with inactive handicaps had nothing after their handicap and everyone else had a little (c).

BTW, many clubs do not allow players with inactive (now called non-competition) handicaps to win competitions.
