My last "active" handicap (confirmed by the CDH) was 12.5.
I played in my first comp at Cooden on Sunday, mainly to get a qualifying card to reactivate my handicap, and went out .1
Notice on the results sheet that my handicap is showing 13.1.
?????????????

The same happened to me sometime last year, it turned out to be a blip in the system when my own clubs computer crashed, they soon corrected it when I told them

Looks like they gave you back your playing handicap of 13.0 rather than exact handicap.

Not sure of the proper procedure to be honest.

Or you have been increased by .5 in an annual review ?

Or when you moved instead of actual HC of 12.5 playign 13 they gave you actual 13

They don't give back anything :)

Unless Smiffy has joined Cooden over 12 months after he left his previous club then his handicap travelled with him and the only thing affected by subsequent cards would be it's status ie he would need to put in 3 Q scores to regain (c) status.

However, I thought he had a (c) handicap there last year in which case he still has one!

I left my old club (Boars Head) with an active handicap of 12.5 which is confirmed when I check my CDH number on the Golf Union website.
Joined Cooden last November, which was some 2 years or so since I last played at Boars Head, hence the "inactive" status.
I assumed that it would just reactivate from that, so my first adjustment out would be to 12.6??
It may well be my fault because when I went into the pro shop on Sunday to pick up my card, the guy in there (he wasn't the pro) asked my handicap and I just said "13". He didn't ask me my "exact"...so it might have been adjusted off of that. I "assumed" that the clubs software would have adjusted it automatically from my CDH number.

Have Cooden given you a new CDH number by mistake and then just issued you with a 13? I see it all the time.

This appears to be the case LQ.
It appears that I now have two CDH numbers!
And the odd thing is, on the clubs website, my name appears as "name witheld" on the results sheet.
I wasn't particularly happy with my round, but I wasn't THAT embarrassed
:D:D:D

You dozy plonker

You told me Notto get a cut for the Cooden team comp and your going to argue over a handy increase ??

I hadn't thought of that mate.
Are you playing badly deliberately then????

I don't need to do it deliberately, I have a particularly good and well honed bad game, especially at its sharpest whe playing with Liverpoolphil !
