How's everyone's handicaps going this season?

I started at 5.2, struggled in April and went up to 5.5 largely due to putting woes. May has been much better since I found a putter I can use and I got another 0.2 off last night so down to 4.7.

Target h'cap is an ambitious 3 for the season but I would be pleased if I could get back to 4 which is the best I've ever been in the past.

H'cap is moving in the right direction at least....for now!

Where's yours going?

well my problem is that i dont have a handicap to start with lol

but i normally only play a 9 hole due to my grandad, but im thinking of joining a cluw which has two 18 hole courses then i can concentrate on reducing my handicap

Well done Birdieman keep it going

started 9.1 and now at 7.3 and gathering momentum fast (end of year target 6.0) but this could be revised at this rate

Good to hear you're enjoying your golf again Birdieman.

As you can see from my sig, mine is fluctuating and is fluctuating in the wrong direction at the moment.
Back to double figures.

Started the year on 11.1 and now its 10 so progress there.
But it'll stay there until I join a club and get playing competitively again - hopefully soon.

Where's yours going?

Nowhere really. I'm getting some good scores now though in all sorts of games and am confident I can get though the "Amen corner" of my course sooner or later in tidy style.

I can get to the 16th tee about 8-10 over without too much trouble. Off yellows, I par 16/17/18 almost routinely, so it's just a case of course management off the whites, oh and another 200 yards of grass to cover. :)

Gone down from 14.2 to 13.0 so a good move. I should have had a few more cuts but blew up in two comps in the last few holes to only play to and not under my handicap. A change of putter has helped and once I get my chipping sorted I'm confident my target of 12 is acheivable.

Started on 11.7, went down to 11.1, crept up to 11.5 for one week, now back to 11.1 again. Really want to get down to 10 this year, with single figures a target for next year.

It's generally been going in the right direction went from 9.2 to 8.3, but has since gone back to 8.5.

Like you, my trouble has been the putter. But have now got a new one with a shorter shaft and it went well last weekend (no 3 putts). So looking forward to some improvement.

Target for the year is a playing handicap of 7.

I've got .8 back so not going in the right direction. But the last 3 comps I hit the buffers zone so Hopefully things are starting to look up. I've went back to the oddessy#4 putter for now. The scotty and I have fallen out.

Open week next week with 5 comps in a row, might be a good week, then on the other hand????

We shall keep trying!!!!

Hi
Started on 10.5 now gone to 10.9 really strange year trowing in a couple of scratches every round playing really good golf in the interclub and match play where the 1/2 bad holes dont matter as much.
Mike

General direction is down, went from 27.6 down to 24.6 but have crept up to 25. Last 3 comps have been buffer zone so hope I have steadied the ship and can get a few more cuts. Relistic target for the year is 20-21 but really want to get down to 18.

Started the year at 15.0, added point 1 before 2 0.3 cuts in consecutive weeks. Last week I burned played well to get cut 1.5 to 13.1 and have hit the buffer on saturday and last night.

looking for reach and play to 12 this season.

Started on 16.0 around the beginning of the year, have only played in a few matches, most of which haven't affected my h/c (fortunately), and it's only gone up once so far.
