Played in the medal comp on Friday and went up 0.1 to 15.5.

Today I shot net 68 off 16 though the comps computer still had me off 15.

Expect that one will be sorted easily enough.

However I'm expecting a cut between 0.9 - 1.2 which would bring me down to 14.3 or 14.6.

Now tomorrow I'm playing in another comp but I won't know whether I'm off 14 or 15 if the results are not up.

Do I just play off 14?

Is it a medal comp or a singles K/O ?

You base your reduction on the SSS until the CSS is known.

Not sure why your computer would show incorrect handicap, if the comp results have been posted for Friday then you know your handicap is correct.

Work your nett 68 against SSS for the course and apply the cut yourself.
It may mean playing off a lower handicap than you will end up with but it's better to be on the low side for tomorrow

Can't see the issue. The Friday results sheet will show the correct handicap, and today's comp reduction is easily calculated too.

Fridays results were up with my new adjusted handicap (15.5).

(SSS is 71)

Have known this to happen before with the computer but sods law with it being a bank holiday weekend and additional comps means its impacting a little more than it normally would.

Had the Friday results been published before today's competition? If not, you could well be DQ-ed for playing off too high handicap - but your cut due for the net 68 will still be applied.

Playing off 14 will ensure that you are not DQ-ed from tomorrow's competition.

Rules are:
You cannot apply an increase except from publication of the result.
If CSS is not known (because results haven't been published) you should use SSS to apply any reduction.

Worth finding out what your new Playing Handicap is if you can. But playing off 14 would avoid possible hassle.

It is your responsibility to cut yourself against SSS in the absence of results. You can't however increase yourself. If you played off of 16 not knowing the the results of the previous comp then you played off of the wrong handicap.
