I haven't got a handicap but have started putting cards in golfshake to get an (unofficial) idea of where I'm at...... and where I am is a complete hacker!!!)

Anyway I understand how the initial HC is calculated and the buffer zones.. however I'm not entirely sure about ongoing adjustments... is it just on gross score compared to par (or SSS/CSS) or is your score adjusted to a maximum of double bogey per hole?

for instance off a HC of 24.5 if I shot a round of +28, but with a few horror holes meaning that if the score was adjusted to max double bogey per hole it would have been +18.... so one's clearly over the current HC and one below... what's the new HC?

hope that makes sense
Thanks

Handicaps are updated after rounding using stableford points system. The rounding after initial h/cap is NETT double bogey, (lowest score to produce nil point) it's only gross rounded on first 3 initial cards.
Using golf shake CSS won't affect you so all scores will be adjusted against SSS.
