Handiap conundrum

I broke 100 for the first time in a medal by scoring 99, for a net 71 (Par 72 course). My 99 included two 7's on par 4's and an 8 on a par 5, so from what I have read on here I thought I would be docked another 3 strokes for handicapping purposes i.e. net 68.

However the result is 'No change to handicap'. Have I misunderstood?

For handicapping purposes, scores are reduced to a net double, not a double.

The rounding to doubles only applies on initial 3 cards thereafter it's nett doubles so not shots taken off in your case assuming CSS is below par.

Depends on the CSS, which evidently from your post was below par - in which case you shot buffer so no change to handicap
